On December 10, 2024, Baku Convention Center hosted a conference organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) called “IFRS Update Conference: A New Era in Financial Reporting”.
The event brought together financial experts and industry leaders to discuss innovations and achievements in the fields of finance and accounting.
Founded on November 30, 1904, in London by a group of eight accountants, ACCA has evolved into a prominent global network, boasting over 252,500 members and 526,000 aspiring members across 180 countries. Today, ACCA delivers a portfolio of more than 800 advanced courses, enabling association members to remain at the cutting edge of the accounting profession. Moreover, ACCA partners with 7,959 approved employers worldwide, facilitating opportunities for top-tier financial professionals to thrive in environments where they can maximize their potential.
Additionally, ACCA has introduced a new professional diploma in sustainability for accountants, emphasizing its role in building a sustainable future. Discussions at the Baku Convention Center, led by highly qualified professors, focused on this digital platform – ACCA-X.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Finance and ACCA reaffirms Azerbaijan's commitment to strengthening its financial infrastructure and preparing its workforce for the future.
