On 22 October 2026, the Baku Convention Center will host a conference titled “Digital Financial Ecosystem: A New Stage in Governance”, organised by the Public Council under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in official partnership with the Azerbaijan Association of Professional Financial Managers and with the support of the Ministry of Finance.
The conference will bring together representatives of government institutions, the private sector and public organisations, as well as professional accountants. Discussions will cover the digital transformation of public finance and its future development, effective management of financial data, and modern approaches to strengthening transparency and accountability.
The programme will include two panel sessions: “Digitalisation of Public Finance: Cross-System Integration and a New Management Model” and “Ensuring Sustainability in Public Finance Data Management”.
Panel discussions will focus on the transition to a unified digital model for public finance management, the expansion of integration between systems, the development of national digital infrastructure, the digitalisation of fiscal policy and digital payment infrastructure, as well as the establishment of a secure and flexible settlement environment for public financial transactions.
Participants will also exchange views on strengthening public trust in the digital financial ecosystem, applying data-driven auditing and analytical approaches to assess the efficiency of public spending, transitioning towards results-based fiscal policy, improving public procurement databases, assessing the competitive environment and identifying risk indicators.
Further discussions will address the analysis of financial transactions and early risk detection, the development of a reliable data ecosystem in public finance and the role of professional accountants in this process.
