Baku Convention Center hosted the opening ceremony of the World Chess Cup.
Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, President of International Chess Federation (FIDE) Arkady Dvorkovich, President of Azerbaijan Chess Federation, Vice-President of FIDE Mahir Mammadov and officials of other local federations, chess players, and guests took part in the event.
