On October 18, 2018, the first National Tourism Summit was held by the joint organization of State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau at the Baku Convention Center.
Information was given about new marketing strategy, goals, targets and plans alongside with presentation of new national tourism brand of Azerbaijan at the first part of event.
Speaking at the event, Fuad Nagiyev, chairman of the State Tourism Agency said that the organization has been operating for 6 months, and also He gave information about the works implemented on main directions of tourism field in this a short time, as well as, tourism education, training of qualified personnel, improvement of service sector, improvement of statistics, application of modern information technologies in tourism, as well as future plans on issues such as opening representations in target markets.
Later, the new tourism brand was presented as an initial step for the promotion of Azerbaijan in the global market.
The main symbols of the new brand will be the new logo and slogan presented in a related form.
The new tourism logo of Azerbaijan-"a", is the first letter of the word "Azerbaijan" and also expresses the essence of the brand pursuant to its shape. The logo will be constantly updated and adaptable to the platform to be presented. It is possible to have a more accurate imagination about the logo when considered carefully according to the main slogan of the new tourism brand of Azerbaijan, ("Take another look”).
New brand has been developed by the world-famous branding company "Landor". The company has long-term and successful experience in creating brand for a number of countries and international companies.
An interview with more than 100 different professional owners was conducted in the process of preparing the tourism brand of Azerbaijan, and this strategic process lasted for 5 months
Presentation of the new brand to the world community will be held at the World Travel Market (London WTM), which will be organized in London in November.
