The event focused on strengthening international cooperation in the fight against corruption and adopting new approaches in this field.
Representatives of over 120 government institutions from 92 countries participated in the meeting, including prosecutorial bodies, independent anti-corruption agencies, and international organizations. The event was attended by more than 300 participants, and over 60 followed the sessions online.
Discussions addressed timely topics such as the impact of new technologies on law enforcement, prevention of environmental crimes, and recovery of stolen assets.
Additionally, more than 100 bilateral meetings were held between representatives of various countries, including Azerbaijan. These meetings served as a platform for discussing proposals and prospects for cooperation, experience exchange, and promotion of development across different sectors.
During the event, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, delivered an address on behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the event participants. The message emphasized that combating corruption is considered both a national and international priority for Azerbaijan and highlighted the establishment of the necessary legal and institutional framework in this direction.
