On January 31, 2025, the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, held the “Volunteer Organizations Sustainable Development Forum 2025” at the Baku Convention Center, dedicated to February 2 – Youth Day of Azerbaijan.
The forum brought together government officials, leaders of volunteer organizations, and over 200 volunteers. The forum's main objective was to strengthen cooperation between volunteer organizations, ensure their sustainable development, and contribute to the professional growth of young people.
Forum speakers included members of the National Assembly, the acting Executive Director of the Youth Foundation, the Chairman of the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan, and other officials who emphasized the role of volunteering in youth development and community service.
A panel session titled "New Perspectives in the Volunteer Movement and Sustainable Development" was held as part of the forum. Representatives of various organizations shared their views on expanding volunteer activities, international representation, and career opportunities in the regions. The forum concluded with an award ceremony for young volunteers and a musical performance.
